New Nordics AI
The aim of the Nordic-Baltic AI center, New Nordics AI, is to strengthen regional collaboration, build shared expertise, and enhance the Nordics’ competitiveness in the global AI landscape. AI Finland is one of the founding members, alongside AI Sweden, Denmark’s Digital Dogme, Norway’s TEK Norge, and Iceland’s Almannarómur.
Launched in October 2025, the center brings together Nordic stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of AI and strengthen the region’s global competitiveness.
The joint initiative is led by five leading Nordic organizations focused on advancing AI at the national level: AI Finland, AI Sweden, Almannarómur (Iceland), Digital Dogme (Denmark), and TEK Norge (Norway). Organizations from the Baltic countries are expected to join at a later stage. The center’s secretariat is based in Stockholm.
By joining forces, the Nordics and the Baltic region can speed up the deployment and development of new AI technologies and strengthen the Nordics’ position in AI—both globally and within the EU. In addition to cross-border projects between companies and organizations, the center will also provide policy recommendations.
Opportunities for collaboration
The center will be open to collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders across the Nordics and the Baltic countries. The aim is to increase AI adoption, promote strategic joint investments, and enhance the region’s international competitiveness.
