Top experts to support AI development in Finland
The AI Finland network has established an Advisory Board to support its mission of positioning Finland as a global leader in AI development and application. The Advisory Board comprises a diverse group of top-tier experts from cutting-edge research and the corporate sector, spanning large enterprises, SMEs, and scaleups, as well as international expertise. The board's role is to provide strategic insights and expertise while ensuring that the network’s ambition and focus remain at the highest level.

The Advisory Board comprises a diverse group of top-tier experts from cutting-edge research and the corporate sector, spanning large enterprises, SMEs, and scaleups, as well as international expertise. The board’s role is to provide strategic insights and expertise while ensuring that the network’s ambition and focus remain at the highest level.
“Our aim was to assemble a highly diverse Advisory Board that reflects the landscape of AI development and application in Finland and brings a strong international perspective to the table. Combining cutting-edge research, business expertise, and global insights is essential as we work to make Finland a frontrunner in AI application and development,” says Karoliina Partanen, Director of AI Finland.
Peter Sarlin, Co-founder of Silo AI, who played a key role in assembling the Advisory Board, sees significant potential in the network. “AI is not just a technology – it has the potential to strengthen Finland’s competitiveness and act as a broader societal driver of change. Success in this requires not
only data and algorithms, but also an understanding of service and process development. AI Finland strengthens the broader ecosystem that helps companies commercialize innovations. I joined the Advisory Board because I believe that through such collaboration, we can accelerate progress and achieve impactful results”, Sarlin explains.

The Advisory Board meets regularly to evaluate AI Finland’s strategic objectives, support forward-thinking initiatives, and assist in resource utilization. The board is appointed annually in the autumn for a one-year term.
